Buyer satisfaction carries 35% of the score, the complaint profile 20%, fit range 15%, and materials, care and value 10% each. Small rating pools are pulled toward the category average, and pillows with fewer than 300 ratings get a score but no rank until their pool grows.

No. We score each pillow from the maker's published specs and policies and from its full pool of buyer ratings, and we say so on every page. The method, with the formula for each part, is on How we score.
Is this site run by Nuzzle?
No. Loft & Fill is independent and not affiliated with any brand it reviews. Our address carries Nuzzle's name, and Nuzzle pillows are scored by the same formula as every other pillow. The disclosure page explains how the site is paid for.
Which pillow should you start with if you sleep on your side?
Start with how high the pillow needs to be. Our loft guide explains how shoulder width and mattress firmness change that, and the side sleeper list ranks the pillows makers sell for that position.
How often are prices and scores updated?
On a schedule. Each update refreshes prices and rating pools and recalculates every score in the same pass, so a pillow that starts drawing one-star ratings moves down the list.
